A Beautiful Backyard Wedding in the Beaver Valley
September 24, 2016 , All
How do I even begin this story? Photographing the backyard wedding of these lovebirds was just a riot. First off, it poured rain ALL DAY. I met with Katherine at Jasper House B&B where she was getting ready with her whole family. Her french accent had emerged thick and beautiful as conversation swept from french to english and back. The house was a flurry of activity and umbrellas as everyone was readying themselves for the 2min drive up the road. After a drizzly but truly romantic first look, we ventured to the ceremony location only to be rained out by what I can only describe as a torrential downpour. The guests quickly scurried from the alcove in the woods to the cover of a party tent, where the ceremony began with sound of rain and laughter throughout.
Katherine and Elliot, you two are troopers, and so were your guests. Ultimate frisbee, a tent village, laughing in the rain, midnight tacos… everyone had such a great time. And the sun came out for a glorious finish with a pink sky to boot.
