Project Real Life (week 3) – Indoor play

Come mid-winter when the deep freeze is upon us, I’ll be kicking myself for not going outside and enjoying every last moment of decent weather that we’re having right now. But the smell of hot coffee and banana bread in the oven entice me indoors. And with the crackling of the fire and sheepskin on the floor, I just want to snuggle up with the kids and pretend its too cold for an outdoor adventure today. Lets do some felting, build some block towers, eat endless bowls of popcorn and read Jan Brett’s The Hat for the tenth time today. I don’t mind. I love hunkering down. My tune might be different come February, but for now I’m in love.
